Victoria is at a critical juncture in its energy transition. The state is developing a large pipeline of renewable energy projects, expanding consumer energy resources such as rooftop solar and batteries, and progressing a renewable fuels strategy to support reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. At the same time, the transition presents emerging risks. Tight supply margins during peak demand threaten system reliability, transmission constraints are slowing the connection of new generation, and debate continues over the role of gas.
