Exclusively for CEDA members, join the ESG Community of Best Practice to explore regulatory landscape and case studies in a small group setting.
As physical climate risks accelerate, adaptation finance is emerging as a critical — yet underdeveloped — pillar of the ESG landscape. For ESG professionals, the challenge is no longer whether to prioritise adaptation, but how to mobilise capital, embed resilience into decision-making, and demonstrate value.
This session brings together leading perspectives from finance, policy, and ESG practice to examine how adaptation is being financed in practice. Participants will explore emerging investment models, the role of public–private collaboration, and how adaptation considerations are being integrated into ESG frameworks, disclosures, and portfolio strategy. The discussion will also address the challenge of measuring impact — from avoided losses to long-term resilience and co-benefits — and what this means for investors, corporates, and policymakers navigating a rapidly changing risk environment.
